Is Zoho Mail free?
Yes, for up to 5 people on one domain, with 5 GB each. Free works in the browser and the Zoho Mail app. To use Outlook, Apple Mail or another app, or to add a sixth person, you need a paid plan; Mail Lite starts at $1 per user a month, billed yearly.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on every plan, Free included. You verify the domain with one TXT record, then point your MX records at Zoho. If you don't own a domain yet, buy one from any registrar first.
Can I keep using Outlook or Apple Mail?
On any paid plan, yes. They connect over IMAP or Exchange ActiveSync, and your calendar can sync too. The free plan does not include IMAP, POP or ActiveSync.
How do we move from Gmail, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?
Set up the domain and users in Zoho, run Zoho's migration tool to copy the old mailboxes, then switch your MX records. Done in that order, no email is lost. Mail Premium and Workplace Professional include migration assistance from Zoho, and we do it end to end for any plan.
Is Zoho Mail better than Gmail?
It depends on what you need. Zoho Mail costs less per user, shows no ads, and connects directly to Zoho CRM, Desk and the rest of Zoho. Google Workspace is the better fit if your team already lives in Google Docs and Drive. For businesses running on Zoho, Zoho Mail is usually the simpler choice.
Is Zoho owned by Google?
No. Zoho is an independent, privately held company founded in 1996 and based in Chennai, India.
Does Zoho show ads or read my email?
No. Zoho Mail has no ads on any plan, and Zoho states it does not sell or scan your data for advertising.
