What’s the difference between Zoho Sites and Zoho Commerce?
Zoho Sites is a marketing/brochure website builder — landing pages, blogs, portfolios, contact forms. Zoho Commerce is a full ecommerce platform — storefronts, product catalogs, cart, checkout, inventory. If you’re selling 10+ products with real ecommerce flows, use Commerce. Otherwise, Sites covers it.
Is Zoho Sites really free?
Yes — the Free plan is a real, usable website with hosting and SSL included. Limit: 1 site, 5 pages, on a Zoho subdomain. Most SMBs upgrade to Standard ($5/mo) for the custom domain — that’s the upgrade trigger.
How does Sites compare to WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace?
WordPress wins on flexibility and plugin ecosystem — loses on maintenance burden (plugin updates, security, hosting). Wix & Squarespace are comparable on UX; Sites wins on native integration with the rest of Zoho (CRM, Bookings, Campaigns) at a lower price. For SMBs already in the Zoho stack, Sites is usually the right answer.
Can I migrate from WordPress?
Yes. We rebuild the site in Sites (no auto-import for full WordPress sites), preserve the URL structure with redirects, port over blog content, and verify Search Console rankings hold post-migration. Plan on 2–6 weeks depending on page count and how much custom WP functionality we’re absorbing.
Does Zoho Sites need coding?
No — the drag-drop editor handles 90% of changes without HTML. The remaining 10% is where Custom Code blocks come in: advanced widgets, JS, structured data, anything beyond the built-in components. We handle those for clients (with namespaced CSS and IIFE-wrapped JS so nothing breaks the editor).
Will my SEO survive a migration?
Yes, with the right setup. We preserve URL structure (or set up 301 redirects from old paths), port meta tags + alt text, add structured data, and verify Search Console after launch. Most migrations see a temporary 1–3 week dip during reindexing, then recover and often improve thanks to the cleaner structure.
Is my data safe?
Zoho is SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR-ready. Hosting handled by Zoho with auto-scaling, daily backups, and managed SSL. Multiple data center regions — pick US, EU, IN, AU, JP, CA based on residency requirements.
